How did we get from Pre-Ballet I in 2000 and Pre-Ballet II in 2001 to this...

Intermediate Ballet 2 and Intermediate Tap 2 in 2007?

Well for one, we have gone from a small Coke to half of a monster or iced coffee. It is no longer nap time after dancing, it's off to softball.

Magically Parents Day at dancing comes when quarterly payments are due but none the less it is an opportunity to see what amazing teachers Ashley has this year and how she & her classes have progressed this year so far.

Ashley is in intermediate tap with Mark Yonally as her instructor. Mark completely reminds me of Phil Collins. He is amazing. Taking one of Mark's classes has been anticipated for years - not necisarily just by Ashley.

Ballet is amazing, it is certainly more intense this year. Ashley's instructor, Kathleen is amazing. She makes every example look so easy. Kathleen is very detail oriented, which is good.

Ashley will perform in Danscapes on Sunday, March 16th then again in the Talent Forum recital Friday, June 13th & Saturday, June 14th.

Mark danced and choreographed for the Bill Evans Dance Company in Albuquerque. He received his B.A. in Dance from the University of New Mexico and then joined the dance faculty of Oklahoma City University. Mark danced with Especially Tap Company in Chicago and teaches at Gus Giordano Dance Center. Mark is the founding artistic director of Chicago Tap Theatre, which is receiving great acclaim from Chicago and international performances. He works with many tap greats, including Dianne Walker. His innovativie, exciting style is something our tappers and audiences have greatly appreciated the past seven years.

Kathleen is back for her third year as a valued ballet teacher at Talent Forum. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Arts Administration from Butler University's Dance Department and performed numerous solo and principal roles with their performance company. Kathleen danced for three years with the Kentucky Ballet Theatre in Lexington and the last two years as a member of Tyego Dance Project in Chicago.
